The Beauty and Benefits of Delta 8

The Beauty and Benefits of Delta 8

To say that the hemp plant is amazing would be an understatement. The many cannabinoids that are in the hemp plant, as well as the terpenes, have such great healing properties. Most importantly, the safety profile of hemp CBD/THC supplements is excellent. You cannot overdose on CBD. It is non-addictive, works on systemic inflammation, and may calm both your body and mind. So what’s Delta 8 and how does that fit in?

Delta 8 vs. Delta 9

Most people are familiar with Delta-9 THC because it has strong psychotropic effects and that is why when hemp was legalized nationally — the Delta 9 was limited to less than .3% of the total ingredients in any CBD tincture, edible, beverage, capsule, or topical. Delta 8 is not as powerful as Delta 9 but it has the ability to give you a lovely feeling of happiness, lightness, and stimulates those CB1 and CB2 receptors to fire up and make more of your own cannabinoids. That’s what it’s all about, too. Stimulating your Endocannabinoid System to get you in balance.

Delta 8 Benefits

Some people like to start their day with just enough Delta 8 so that they breeze through any stressful situations. Many people use it as a sleep aid to get that really deep, restorative sleep that they need. You can find this amazing cannabinoid in tinctures, vape cartridges, and gummies. Just a little bit can go a really long way.

More cannabis, as well as hemp consumers, are discovering the subtle, yet substantial differences between Delta 9 and Delta 8. Learn more in this article from Discover Magazine.

Isolate, Broad-Spectrum, & Full Spectrum CBD Products

Isolate, Broad-Spectrum, & Full Spectrum CBD Products

There is a huge variety of CBD products available to consumers. Not only does CBD come in numerous delivery systems — vapes, tinctures, gummies, topicals, edibles, flower and more — but it also comes in three main categories: Isolate, Broad-Spectrum & Full-Spectrum. All CBD products work on your Endocannabinoid System to help get your body back in balance whether you are battling anxiety, depression, insomnia, or pain.

Isolate CBD is exactly what it sounds like. Isolated CBD with no other cannabinoids and no terpenes, flavanoids, or any additional hemp plant constituents. Isolate CBD is made into a powder form and then added to oils, gummies, edibles, dog treats, and vapes. Many people have great success using isolate CBD products for their health concerns. However, you are not getting all the benefits of the plant.

Broad-Spectrum products have the major cannabinoid of CBD and a number of minor cannabinoids (e.g. CBC, CBN, or CBG) but there is no THC. This means you are able to experience the synergy of the multiple cannabinoids working together. The fact that there is no THC is something that many people prefer.

Full-Spectrum CBD products give you a similar mix of major and minor cannabinoids, terpenes, flavonoids, etc. and you also get a minute amount of THC. The legal limit in states that do not have legal cannabis is less than .3% of Delta-9 THC. This is such a tiny amount of THC that you will not experience any of the psychotropic effects that would likely happen with a larger amount of THC. This is why all 50 states now have legalized CBD.

CBD is an All-Day Supplement

CBD is an All-Day Supplement

When you think about taking any kind of nutritional supplement, you generally have your morning and your evening pills. With CBD, you are feeding your Endocannabinoid System (ECS), and it may need to be fed throughout the day.

It is so great that CBD comes in so many different forms. You may start your day with CBD tea or coffee to give you a little lift without the negative side effects of caffeine. Then as you move forward, you may want to take a nano-spray or a mint that will work quickly and help you stay calm and focused. As the day goes on, you may find yourself starting to feel stressed so you consider another mint, a gummy, or your vape.

As the evening progresses, it is time to help your body wind down and get ready for bed. Now you have that wonderful CBD tincture that will ease you into a quieter state of mind and allow you to get the deep sleep you need. All of these products are helping to tone up your ECS and get your body & mind in balance. No other supplement works in this foundational and healing manner.

CBD products come in so many varieties that every person can find a delivery system (or two) that they like and products that taste the way they want them to taste. The world of CBD is open to everyone because of the high safety profile of ingesting hemp. It is comforting to be able to take a supplement that will support you without causing you negative side effects or psychotropic effects that you don’t want.

Take CBD daily to boost that ECS and to keep yourself on an even keel. It’s a great day when you feel at peace, out of pain, and well-rested.

CBD Reduces Inflammation

CBD Reduces Inflammation

The number one benefit of CBD is that it reduces systemic inflammation. That is a huge plus because inflammation is the underlying cause of all dis-ease in one’s body. Whether you have an infection, virus, pain, cancer, insomnia, or anxiety — there is inflammation that underlies that condition.

You might wonder, how is this possible? Our body responds to emotions, pathogens, and injury by creating inflammation to fight off whatever is causing you trouble. Think about how white blood cells go to the site of a cut or scrape or how your body develops a fever to battle the flu. Or, if you’re stressed out, not sleeping, or having panic attacks then you may be creating inflammation in your gut, your nervous system, or the cardiovascular system. Any number of factors may be throwing you out of whack. CBD works to get you back in balance.

That is the beauty of CBD. It supplements your Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to help your body’s regulating systems get you to a state of homeostasis. By feeding your ECS through your CB1 and CB2 receptors, CBD is working to reduce the inflammation and help you feel better. When you are stressed, worried, and living in fight or flight mode — then you’re creating inflammation. If you have been exposed to a virus or bacteria then you have inflammation. And, if you have an auto-immune issue, digestive issue, hormonal imbalance, and more, then you have inflammation.

Taking CBD daily will not only boost your ECS and reduce inflammation it will also boost your immune system to function well. We all need strong immune systems to survive well in a world that is fast-moving and intense. There simply is not a downside to putting CBD into your daily wellness routine to support your body systemically, foundationally, and therapeutically. CBD is amazing.
