CBD can be an essential part of keeping you healthy. How? CBD feeds your Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to get your body into homeostasis also known as balance. If you have anxiety, insomnia, stress, pain or any kind of inflammation then CBD will help support your ECS.
Your ECS is the key to your best health and a strong immune system. Getting those CB1 & CB2 receptors fired up and making your own endogenous cannabinoids is the name of the game. You do this by supplementing with CBD liquids, gelcaps, edibles and more.
Of course there are other supplements that are known to be immune boosting, such as: Vitamin D, Vitamin C, probiotics, mushroom formulas, oil of oregano and so many more. Here’s an opportunity to add CBD to whatever regimen you currently follow and get that systemic inflammation down, reduce your anxiety, lessen your pain, and feel stronger and ready to fight whatever germs come your way.
The hemp plant is amazing. With 113 different cannabinoids and over 200 terpenes (the essential, aromatic oils of the plant) the possibilities for helping support your Endocannabinoid System (ECS) are endless. Each cannabinoid, whether it be CBD, CBC, CBN, CBG, THCA, etc., stimulates your ECS receptors to make more of your own endogenous cannabinoids. Say that three times fast!
Your endogenous cannabinoids have different names than the cannabinoids in the hemp plant. The work they do in your body is profound as they modulate other systems such as your neurological, digestive and endocrine. By taking CBD supplements, you stimulate receptors throughout your brain and body and increase endogenous cannabinoid production. This is key to toning and supporting the ECS.
If CBD hasn’t been working for you then it may be for any of the following reasons: 1)You may not have purchased a high-quality brand with Certificates of Analysis (COA) that show you exactly what you are buying matches what it says on the bottle; 2) You are not taking a high enough potency thus, you are not getting the results you want; 3) You must be consistent in taking your CBD daily just like you would take any other supplement; and, 4) Allowing enough time for your ECS to get “on-line” and function as well as it should is essential as there are no quick fixes.
Depending on your health situation and the length of time you have been struggling may mean that it will take more time for CBD and your ECS to help get your body in balance. CBD works on your body in foundational ways to reduce systemic inflammation and so much more. Feeling good is worth the time, money and commitment because it frees you up to enjoy the rest of your life. Hooray for Hemp!
The first question I ask all of my customers is, “Have you tried CBD?” When they tell me they have tried it and it really isn’t working for them — then I know it is probably for one of the following reasons.
Poor quality product. If what you buy is not from a reputable company then the label and the lab analysis may not match and that means you may be getting very little CBD. If you are purchasing CBD at a local gas station or salon then you are unlikely to be getting good quality products and you are setting yourself up for a lot of frustration.
Dosing issues. You are not taking a high enough dose. If, for example, the CBD tincture says 500 mg on the front and you are taking half a dropper daily, then you are only getting 8 mg (that is not a high dose). You may need the full dropper or two droppers which will raise the total number of milligrams to 32. It takes a bit of flexibility to find what dose works for you since no two people are exactly alike.
Intermittent Use. You are only taking the CBD product periodically. For your Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to be well-supported and to get those CB1 & CB2 receptors fired up, then you need to be consistent and take the CBD daily. Just like any other supplement or medication you take. Regular use increases the efficacy of the product and then you are getting the outcomes you want.
Time. Maybe you got the results you sought within a week or two. But, for many, it may take a few months of changing the number of milligrams per day, changing to another high-quality brand, changing the delivery system (e.g. from a capsule to a liquid) or simply giving your body the time to boost your ECS and reduce systemic inflammation which underlies so many health concerns. Many people walk into a CBD store frustrated with all the medications and therapies they have already tried. If you have experienced a health issue for many years then it behooves you to give CBD at least a few months or more to get you to a place of good health.
Of course, talking to someone with knowledge of the ECS, explaining Certificates of Analysis (COA’s) and discussing how each product works in your body is the key to success. CBD is an amazing supplement that works for so many people. How great would it be if you were one of them?
Bet you can look at the image above and relate to it. Do you have chronic pain or maybe you injured yourself recently? Whether it is your neck, back, head, foot, shoulder or elbow is not the issue. The issue is that you have inflammation in your body that underlies your physical pain.
CBD is a powerful supplement that works on reducing systemic inflammation. It operates in your body by stimulating the receptors of the Endocannabinoid System (ECS) to make more of your own endogenous cannabinoids. And, that means your body is working to tamp down the inflammation by feeding your ECS. Daily use of a CBD supplement — whether it be a liquid or a gelcap — can make the world of difference with the level of pain your experiencing. Plus, using a topical to reach those targeted hotspots will assist in getting you relief even sooner.
Why walk around not feeling your best? Being kind to your body is one of the best parts of taking a supplement like CBD. It is non-addictive, non-steroidal, has no psychotropic effects and works on your body in foundational ways to support your ECS not just to quash symptoms. If you want to set up a time to chat with me about your situation then head to our website and schedule a phone consultation. It’s so easy and might be your best call of the week!
No need to worry if you didn’t make any New Year’s resolutions. The truth is that what is most important is to be more mindful of the choices you make about the food you eat, the supplements you take and the kind of exercise that you do. This does not mean making a bunch of big pronouncements. Instead, it is a daily practice of making smaller, thoughtful choices and being kind to yourself.
Winter is a particularly difficult time to think about making changes because we are just hoping the sun comes out to brighten our day and we may be struggling with feeling well emotionally and mentally. Grey days can really bring us down so it is particularly good to know that CBD can help shift one’s mood. If you’re battling anxiety, depression, insomnia or PTSD — CBD can assist your Endocannabinoid System in positively impacting your body, mind and spirit.
There is so much to learn about the wondrous hemp plant and how it can support a healthier you. Of course, there is a wealth of information out there — here’s our podcast where you will learn a bit of history and solid information about how CBD works in your body https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3mWPv-DtOj4
Bug bites, skin rashes, poison ivy, allergies, bee stings and chlorine in pools are all challenging to having healthy skin. CBDA is the designation for CBD that has not been heated up. It is raw CBD and extremely helpful for any kind of inflammatory condition. You can ingest a liquid CBDA but for all of those skin challenges, you may also use a topical. Some topicals are full-spectrum — so you have many different options.
There are salves, creams, and roll-ons that offer CBD, essential oils, calendula, and other healing herbs. We have found that anytime we get a mosquito bite and use a CBD salve the redness and itching go away fairly quickly. If you’re someone who has allergies to certain plants, flowers or grasses then CBD may help reduce those allergies by taking both a liquid/gelcap and using a topical salve.
Chlorine in swimming pools is very harsh on one’s skin. Whether you use a topical salve or a liquid CBDA and put it directly on your skin, you will get some relief. The extreme heat we have experienced this summer can also have a negative impact on our skin. Using CBD soap can reduce the redness, swelling, and itchiness of heat rashes, eczema or poison ivy.
CBD is such a versatile supplement that helps to heal health issues that are both internal and external. Just another great example of the amazing hemp plant and what it offers our bodies.
It turns out that there is no one way or one product that works for all people. So it behooves every individual to look at a wide range of options to make the best decision for themselves. There are four main delivery systems — vapes, liquids, capsules/gelcaps, and topicals.
Vaping is a very fast way to get CBD into your body through your lungs — around a15-minute activation time. This method makes the CBD more bioavailable to your body. Liquids/Tinctures need to be held under your tongue for at least 20-60 seconds and then you may swallow. With the help of the mucous membranes and capillaries these products activate in your body in about a half-hour because this method bypasses your digestive system. Capsules/Gelcaps/Tablets need to go through your digestive system and will take about an hour or possibly two depending on how well-functioning your liver processes supplements. These three options really work on you systemically whereas topicals are working on the targeted areas where you either have pain or a skin issue.
After you have made a decision about which type of product you want to try then it comes down to taste and price. It is always good to sample a drop or two of different tinctures so that you know if you are happy with how they taste. Some products are unflavored and some have added essential oils or sweeteners to make the liquid more palatable.
Sometimes you need to take a product for a few months before you know for certain that it is doing the job you want it to do. If you’re trying to reduce systemic inflammation it is not something that will happen overnight. Your Endocannabinoid System is begging you for CBD and depending on how long you have had the issue it may take a bit more time to see big results. Of course, some people start taking CBD and feel better immediately. Again, every person is different and the right product for you may not work the same for someone else. It is definitely an adventure in taking charge of your health and helping your body to get in balance. The good news is that there are so many wonderful options to choose from and at CBD Jubilee we are happy to help you find just the right product for you!
